Park book, part installation, this work satirised the niavety of the 1980 United Nations Reccomendation on the Status of the Artist. The full text of the recommendation was styled to emphasis the idiosyncratic nature of UN-speak with its endless repition of stock phrases. The piece was printed on non archival thermal reciept paper to highlight the corruption of artistic freedome by market forces. The instalation consisted of this ‘recipt’ being constatly printed by a stantard Point-of-Sale reciept printer. The piece was exhibted as part of the 2015 Sheffield Artists Book Prize.
